What is Critical Thinking?
I could be wrong but for me Critical Thinking is the ability to evaluate if what your write, read, or otherwise digest could be wrong. To do this you identify the key assumptions are. Next you identify the data the supports these assumptions and test what would happen to the conclusion if this data or the assumption was wrong. This allows you to critically identify the likelihood that the content is accurate. In addition to this process there are two key behaviors for me that are signs of strong critical thinking:
1) Being able to change the conclusion in the face of new or better data.
2) Evaluating in a consistent way regardless of if you like or dislike the outcome.
